After an extraordinary 36 years of service to Gympie East State School, we bid a fond farewell to our much-loved Business Manager, Mrs Kym Ireland, as she begins her well-deserved retirement.
Kym's journey with Gympie East has spanned nearly four decades, making her one of the longest-serving and most respected members of our school community. Throughout her time here, she has been the steady hand behind countless school operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently for students, staff, and families alike. As Business Manager, Kym has played a vital role in the life of our school. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment have helped shape Gympie East into the thriving school it is today. Whether managing finances, supporting school programs, assisting families, or helping staff navigate the many challenges of school life, Kym has always approached her work with dedication, kindness, and a genuine desire to help others.
Over the years, Kym has witnessed generations of students pass through our gates, many returning as parents of current students. Her deep connection to our school and community has made her a familiar and trusted presence for so many people.
