Year 6 New

Remembrance Day Service

Congratulations to the Year 6 students who ran the Remembrance Day Service on Monday 11 November.

This day marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I.  Every year at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, millions around the world pause in silence to remember the sacrifices many have made so we can enjoy life today.

Once again Grant Coultman-Smith attended the service to help us commemorate.

Year 6 Camp: A Phillip Island Adventure!

What an incredible time Year 6 had on their camp to Phillip Island! The trip was packed with fun activities, teamwork challenges, and plenty of laughs. One of the highlights was the 18-meter drop on the giant swing a stomach-flipping experience that had everyone screaming with excitement! Canoeing brought some splashy fun as paddlers tried to dodge the big sprinkler in the middle of the lake.

The second evening we had singing around the campfire, followed by a bushwalk under the stars. By day, students took on challenges that different activities offered, testing their skills in swimming pool games, and working together during the Team Rescue activity, which put their problem-solving and teamwork to the test. The frisbee navigation course showcased navigational prowess.

The twin flying fox had everyone soaring through the air, and raft-making challenged students to see which team could successfully stay afloat (with varying degrees of success!). A beach adventure brought smiles and sandy fun including pinch pots being made from found clay.

The grand finale was a fun race around Cowes, where students navigated local shops and enjoyed a well-deserved lunch.

This camp wasn’t just about the activities it was about building resilience, strengthening friendships, and having an absolute blast. A big thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for making it all possible! Phillip Island camp will be a cherished memory for years to come.
