Week 6

St Joseph Glen Innes Year 6 visit Thursday

We look forward to welcoming St Joseph's - Glen Innes Year 6 students this Thursday. During this time they will interact with our Year 6 students and be working with Mrs Gaias, Miss Daniels and Mr Myers. The students will have a tour of our secondary school, participate in sport activities and wellbeing activities while developing new friendships.

Pizza notes were sent home yesterday
- Pizza $2.50 slice
- One student per note - no family orders
- All orders to be received by Tuesday, 2 September
Students are invited to wear yellow or free dress
K-2 students will have a social during the day
3 - 6 students will have a Social from 3:30-5:00pm in the schools hall
- $2 or $3 for a family
- Canteen available

Healthy Harold visit week 8 and 9

We look forward to having the Life Education van visiting our students to cover areas including - Physical Health, Social and Emotional Wellbeing and Safety. More details will be provided in the coming weeks.

Speech Finals

Congratulations to our students in Years 3 - 6 who have been sharing their oral language and communication skills as they write and start to now formally present their speeches.

This week classes are working on their speech presentations at a class level and 4 finalists will be selected from each class.

Students will then move to year group finals and 4 students will be selected from each grade level.

During Week 8 we will be listening to the speeches of our 4 finalists from each year group who have progressed through to the Public Speaking finals. We have a guest adjudicator who will determine and announce a year level winner from Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 as well as one junior and one senior public speaker for 2025.

Please take the time to listen to your child at home and give them an opportunity to share their speech with you.

We are so impressed with the topics students have selected this year.

If you have any questions - please contact your child's teacher.

No supervision until 8:30 am

Please remember that while our gates are open at school there is no formal supervision for students until 8:30am.

If students are at school prior to supervision times they are required to sit quietly near their classrooms.
