Sacraments

Over the last 5 weeks, some students in Year 3/4/5/6 have been preparing for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. These sacraments are significant milestones in their faith journey, giving students an opportunity to deepen their relationship with God. Through Reconciliation, our children will experience the grace of God's forgiveness and the joy of a renewed heart. On Sunday 31st August at the 9:00am Mass, they will partake in their First Holy Communion, receiving the Eucharist and embracing the love of Christ in a special way. We also have 2 Year 6 students who will be receiving the Gift of the Holy Spirit through the sacrament of Confirmation. Please keep our students in your prayers as they take these important steps in their spiritual growth.

Students will be participating in a First Communion Preparation Day on Friday 29 August. during the day, students will attend Mass and make their First Reconciliation. Students are to wear plain clothing, and will enjoy chicken and chips for lunch.

Christian Living Days - Yr 8 & 9

Next week, students in Years 8 and 9 will be involved in a Christian Living Day. Year 9 will be on Tuesday, 2nd September and Year 8 on Wednesday 3rd September here at school.

The Christian Living Days are facilitated by the Lasallian Youth Ministry team. Lasallian Youth Ministry offers opportunities for young people to discover the fullness of life through innovative experiences of faith, service and community. It aims at empowering young people to use their gifts in the service of others. These Christian Living Days are an important part of our school mission and towards the care of the spiritual welfare of each student.

Further information about the days is on Compass. Students are asked to wear plain clothing (with sensible footwear and clothing as students will be moving around for different activities) and they have the opportunity to have chicken and chips for lunch at a cost of $8, which includes a can of soft drink. This can be paid on Compass.

Father’s Day

On Sunday 7th September, we celebrate Father’s Day – a time to honour fathers, grandfathers, and all father figures who play an important role in our lives. Fathers and role models guide us with love, strength, and encouragement, helping us to grow into the people God calls us to be. We give thanks for the men in our families and community who show patience, kindness, and care each day. We also remember in prayer those for whom this day may be difficult.

Prayer for Fathers

Loving God,

Thank You for the gift of fathers and all who show us a father’s love.

Bless them with patience, wisdom, and joy.

May they always reflect

Your care and protection.

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
