Our creative writing competition has now closed. Thank you to all the students who have submitted entries, we can’t wait to read them. Winners will be announced at the book parade next Thursday 21st August.
Our grade 3 and 4 students enjoyed a visit from author George Ivanoff last Thursday 7th August, where he shared insights into his writing process and the inspiration behind his stories.
Following George’s visit, I had numerous students share how much they enjoyed his time with us. Their enthusiasm didn’t stop there – following the Grade 3 and 4 library sessions that week, all copies of George’s books were borrowed, and multiple reservations placed!
Author visits create meaningful connections between students and books, and George’s visit will continue to inspire our students to read and develop their own writing skills.
If after George’s visit there are students who would like to purchase any of his books there is another opportunity to do so. Please order from https://www.lamontauthors.com.au/buy-authors-book/
All orders must be completed by this Sunday August 17th. Please note that these books will not be available to be signed.
