EISM Division 2 Athletics Carnival
Last Friday, the Kilvington Athletics Team competed against six other schools at the EISM Division 2 Athletics Carnival.
Despite many of the schools having larger student numbers, our squad of over 90 students approached the day with strength and determination, each ready to give their all.
A huge thanks to Emma McLaren for her outstanding organisation, and to our dedicated athletics coaches, led by former Kilvington student Gemma Craddock, whose leadership and expertise helped set our team up for success.
The day was filled with impressive performances, and while we celebrated many fantastic individual results, it was in the relay events that our teams truly shone. Our girls’ teams were dominant, taking out the overall trophy for the day.
Congratulations to the Under 13, Under 15, and Open Girls teams for winning their divisions — an incredible achievement. Not to be outdone, our Under 13 Boys team also claimed victory in their division.
In the end, Kilvington was crowned overall champions — winning the day by fewer than 30 points, the equivalent of just one relay race! It was a testament to the importance of every performance and the power of teamwork.
Well done to every athlete who competed — your commitment, effort and pride made it a day to remember. Go Kilvington!
Also, a shout-out to Year 9's intrepid photographer Nic Giouris for capturing the incredible photos of the day.
