Mr Hyatt

Thank you everyone for a great term!

As Term 3 comes to an end, I want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to our entire St Patrick’s Primary community for your enthusiasm, hard work, and support throughout the term. It has been a full and wonderfully productive few months, and we have so much to celebrate across all areas of school life.

To our incredible students—you are at the center of everything we do. Your energy, determination, and eagerness to tackle new learning opportunities have been a joy to watch. Whether excelling in the classroom, on the sporting field, or through creative pursuits, you have shown tremendous growth, built strong friendships, and always strived to do your best. Congratulations on a magnificent term!

To our talented teachers and staff, thank you for your ongoing passion and dedication. Your energy, care, and creativity ensure that St Patrick’s remains a place where every child feels supported and inspired to reach their potential. Thank you for the endless effort you put into making learning both engaging and rewarding.

Finally, to our parents and carers, thank you for your invaluable partnership. Whether you have assisted with events, cheered from the sidelines, or supported learning at home, your involvement strengthens our school every day. We are deeply grateful for your continued support and community spirit.

As we now move into a well-deserved break, I encourage everyone to take this time to rest, recharge, and enjoy some quality time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the excitement and challenges that Term 4 will bring.

Thank you again for your ongoing commitment, energy, and enthusiasm throughout Term 3. I look forward to continuing this wonderful journey together in the final term of the year.

Year 1-2 Classroom Arrangements for Term 4

Following the note sent home to our Year 1/2 families earlier this week, I would like to share an update regarding classroom arrangements for the upcoming term. My priority throughout this planning process has been to maintain daily consistency, build on existing relationships, and ensure our students continue to feel completely supported in their learning environment.

I am pleased to announce that Miss Emily Hyde will be teaching the Year 1 class from Monday to Thursday each week. Due to current accreditation requirements, Miss Hyde is able to teach a maximum of four days per week. Because of this, and with no suitable applicants available to fulfill Mrs Baldry’s position until the start of the 2027 academic year, Mrs Makeham will teach Year 1/2 as a combined cohort every Friday.

This Friday arrangement will mirror our structure from Term 1, with two dedicated Education Assistants providing extra hands-on support in the classroom throughout the day. While this Friday structure was not my initial preference, I am incredibly grateful to Miss Hyde and Mrs Makeham for stepping up to lead this plan. Their dedication ensures our Year 1/2 students will enjoy a smooth, continuous, and highly supported learning experience every day of the week.

A Baby Sister of Enoch (Year 2)

Congratulations to Alwin and Sathiya on the safe arrival of their third child, Zoey, on Tuesday. Enoch is very excited to have another little sister, although he did say little Zoey doesn't resemble his sister or himself, but rather looks like an alien!

Term 4 - Summer Uniform

Students return to school on Tuesday, 13th October in their summer uniform.

Term 4 Major Excursions Update

Thanks again to most of our Years 3-4 parents who have already indicated that they would like their child to participate in the overnight excursion to Lake Keepit Recreation Centre on the 26th and 27th of November. Mrs Davey and myself will be supervising the students on this excursion.

Also, more information went home to all of our Years 5-6 families in regard to their major excursion to Canberra from the 2nd to the 6th November. Mrs Makeham and myself will be supervising the students on this excursion and looking at the itinerary, we are going to have a great time.

Thank you to all the families who have paid the full costing (incorporated in the school fees) of all of the excursions.

TERM 4 PUPIL FREE DAY

The commencement of Term 4 will take place on Monday, 12th October, which will be designated as a Pupil Free Day. Students are scheduled to return to school on Tuesday, 13th October. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
