Invitation for Voice to Parliament Youth Forum with Kate Thwaites MP
In the referendum happening soon, Australians will have the opportunity to ensure First Nations people are recognised in the birth certificate of our nation – the Australian Constitution – by voting for a Voice to Parliament.
Young people play a vital role in promoting awareness of local and national issues to new and future citizens of voting age. It is vitally important that young people have access to accurate information on the proposed constitutional changes and the impact they will have.
In light of this, I’d like to invite young people within my electorate of Jagajaga to attend the forum to discuss the upcoming referendum.
This session will be for local young people and youth leaders in our community, where I will share information and answer any questions they may have.
Date: Tuesday 3 October 2023
Time: 4:30pm – 6:00pm
Venue: Eltham Library – Community Room, Panther Place, Eltham 3095
If you are interested in attending the forum, please RSVP to riley.gearygoodwin@aph.gov.au with your names and which group you are representing (if any), and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to call my office on 03 9459 1411 to discuss.
Yours sincerely,
Kate Thwaites MP
