Uniform Update
Changes Taking Effect from 2027
As part of Kilvington’s transition to a unisex uniform, introduced in 2024, the School outlined a three-year implementation period to allow families time to gradually update uniform items. 2026 is the final year of this transition, and from the beginning of the 2027 School Year a small number of legacy items will be retired.
We are aware that there has been some confusion within the community about which items will and will not continue, so the information below clarifies the changes.
Items retiring after 2026
From the start of the 2027 School Year, the following items will no longer be part of the Kilvington uniform:
❌ Girls’ blazer (plain navy with magenta piping) → From 2027, all students will wear the striped blazer, regardless of gender.
❌ Striped winter tunic and striped winter skirt → From 2027, students who choose to wear a winter skirt or tunic will wear the new plain navy versions.
Update to summer dresses and blouses
A minor update was also made to the summer dress and girls’ blouse, with the collar changing from plain white to a striped collar. This did not form part of the unisex uniform transition.
Both versions may continue to be worn:
✅ White-collar dresses and blouses may continue to be worn indefinitely.
✅ Striped-collar versions represent the current design.
Bob Stewart will continue selling the white-collar items until existing stock is exhausted, after which new stock will feature the striped collar. Families should note that this does not mean white-collar items must be replaced. Students may continue to wear them as they are simply an earlier version of the uniform.
At a glance - From 2027:
✅ Striped blazer required for all students
✅ Plain navy winter skirt or tunic
(if choosing these options)
Still permitted:
✅ White-collar dresses and blouses
✅ Striped-collar dresses and blouses
(current version)
