RESIDENTIAL

Firstly, I would like to sincerely thank Heidi Armstrong for stepping into the role during my absence. She has done a wonderful job. I would also like to thank the residential staff for supporting her and for taking on additional shifts as required.
I also need to thank the office ladies for going above and beyond, but in particular, both Mrs Fimmano and Mrs Hickman for their efforts in ensuring the residence continued to operate smoothly.
WACOA Carnival
This week, we are hosting the WACOA Carnival here in Harvey. This is a fantastic event where students from other colleges come together to compete in a wide range of sports on Friday night and Saturday. While the competition is exciting, the highlight of the carnival is the camaraderie that develops between students from the different colleges over the weekend.
Many students already know someone from another College, and through these connections, friendships quickly grow. Before long, students are chatting, socialising, and enjoying each other’s company, which, in my opinion, is the best part of the event.
This carnival is a massive undertaking, and Mr Swallow and Mrs Armstrong have been responsible for the majority of the planning and coordination to make it happen. As you can imagine, coordinating multiple Colleges and venues across two days is a logistical challenge, but it is always a wonderful event.
The kitchen staff have the enormous task of feeding all students and staff from both our College and the visiting Colleges on Saturday. This is an incredibly challenging undertaking, particularly given the large number of people and the wide range of dietary requirements. I do not envy the task, and I would like to extend my thanks in advance.
With the end of term drawing close, can I ask that parents and guardians start planning for the term break.
