Year 9 Odyssey program

The Year 9 Odyssey program's term 2 Service theme is in full swing. Students have received the $10 note for their $10 Challenge and ideas are flowing. Last week, students heard from community members representing various community services locally, and have now formed teams around particular areas of passion, ready to begin their Design Thinking process. In Maths, they had fun building personal cardboard cubbies as a launch event for our Youth Crisis Accommodation PBL that will culminate in the Winter Sleepout later this term. Most excitingly, some of our students are serving others in their cohort by running a weekly Bible Study "By Year 9 for Year 9". In The Rite Journey (TRJ), some of our girls enjoyed a full tea service with biscuits as we discussed feminine and masculine stereotypes. "And what were the boys doing?" I hear you ask. Pushups, of course, low and slow!
