Earth Ed Friday 14th August.
On Friday morning, our class went to Earth Ed and it was really fun, so let me tell you a little bit about it. First we went on the bus. The bus ride took about 30 minutes to get there. When we got there, a nice lady came and took us to our main room, the first thing we did was say the acknowledgement of country, then we talked about Bunjil the eagle. It was a painting on the wall and it had lots of colours.

We then went into a different room to talk about sustainability because later we were going to need to know what sustainability means as we were given the task of creating a sustainable city out of Lego. We had to find a partner, then we planned our cities on a white board. After that we had recess. They had a huge playground and it was so fun.

Once play was over we came inside and started building our sustainable cities. Aliza and I made an op shop because they are sustainable and so we are not wasting things that we don’t need. We built lots of nature objects and a skyscraper with a wind mill on top. Then we had lunch and went out for recess again.

When we got back inside we had to finish them off. Once we finally finished we put all the cities together and made one big city. Then we smashed them and put all of the pieces back in the containers. Then we went back on the bus back to school. Earth Ed was really fun and I wish we could go there again.

On Friday, we rode the bus to Earth Ed at 9:00. When we arrived, we were told about the Aboriginal painting and about the eagle Bunjil painting on the wall in the main room. Bunjil the eagle was black, red, yellow and orange.
Afterwards, we talked about what sustainable cities would look like. Before we started building, we went out for recess. We played on the big playground.
After recess, Raven and I built our sustainable sites. We had a wind mill and a lake in our city. We were given an hour and a half to build our cities. Half way through the build, we went out for our second recess.

Then, when we got back inside, we continued building. Once we finished building, we connected them all together and talked about the builds. After this we destroyed them and put all the Lego away. Then we got back on the bus and came back to school at 3pm. Overall it was an amazing day out.
