9 September Thornlie Jobs and Skills Centre Trade Career Expo 

Job seekers, apprentices, pre-apprentices, and local students from TAFEs, schools and universities from the south metropolitan Perth area are invited to come and speak with employers and apprenticeship organisations about starting careers in these industries.

30 September Applications close for 2027 Construction Careers Scholarships 

The program is for Year 10 or Year 11 students commencing years 11 and 12 in 2027.

It offers students the opportunity to work towards a Certificate II in Building and Construction while attending school. Selected students will attend an RTO and do on-site work one or two days a week for either one year or two years 

 

The Construction Training Fund will cover the cost of all uniforms and boots and course tuition, and offer ongoing mentoring and support, along with other wrap-around services.

Applicants require consent from their school and parents to participate. Find information HERE.
