Thank you to all of the families who attended our Term 3 Family and Communion Commitment Mass. The communion candidates participated beautifully in the mass, in particular, when they pledged their commitment towards making their First Holy Communion. Please keep these children in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to prepare for their sacrament of First Holy Communion.
In class, Year 5 have been exploring the Catholic Liberal Arts approach to their Religious Education. Recently, students participated in a Lectio Divina, following the Ten Times Two thinking routine. Students listened to the song ‘Thy Word’ to help them explain how the Bible is the living Word of God for us today, and completed the following steps:
Listen to the piece of music quietly and completely.
Record 10 words or phrases that stood out to you.
Listen again and try to add different words or phrases to your list.
Summarise what message the song is trying to convey.

Kindergarten and Year 2 visited the Little Sisters of the Poor as part of their 100 days celebration. The guests loved having the students sing songs, read books and share stories. We can’t wait to strengthen this relationship through the rest of the year with other classes in the school.
