On Friday May 1st, 7 students attended the Sustainability Summit at Kew High School. Students joined with educators and industry leaders for an informative, inspiring and uplifting day packed with ideas and action to co-create a climate & earth-friendly future.
Students were captivated by the aquaponics system, and enjoyed the hands-on activities sowing seeds, making bees wax wraps, upcycling uniforms, making wreaths, looking at worm towers, designing fun competitions for the school, and making coffee ground body scrub.
We were encouraged to take action with a “teaspoon of change”. One of ours will be organising a tree planting day at Nettleton Park with community volunteers and the council.
