At last Friday’s Parish Mass, the Year Three students were presented to the parish community as those preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. At this mass the students were asked questions that demonstrated a commitment to the Sacrament and was followed with a blessing from Fr Vinh. The students were also presented with a pin which they have been proudly wearing.
The First Reconciliation Liturgy will take place at St. John's Church on Thursday 11th September at 7pm. In the lead-up to this special day, all the students will be learning about the importance of forgiveness-both giving and receiving it, and how it helps us grow in love, compassion, and peace.
We continue to keep these students in our prayers.
Reminders:-
On Friday, 15 August, we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption. This special day honours the Blessed Virgin Mary and the unique favour God bestowed upon her.
The Assumption means that Mary was taken up into the glory of heaven, not only in soul but also in body. As we celebrate this feast day, we can ask our Blessed Mother Mary to guide, protect, and care for us.
All students will be attending Mass at 12:00 p.m., and all are warmly invited to join us.
To help honour Mary, our Mother, at our upcoming liturgy, we kindly ask that all students bring a flower to school. These will be combined to create a class bouquet, which will be used in the procession at Mass.
