LOOKING FOR DONATIONS!

T3 2025

LOOKING FOR DONATIONS OF YOUR JUNK!

This term we plan to implement another play option on the oval with Loose Parts Outdoor Play. Our Year 3/4 students experienced this on their Excursion to the Festival Theatre as a part of the Dream Big Festival and they had a BALL!

We are looking for donations to support this exciting play opportunity!

Loose parts play utilises open-ended materials that encourage creativity and exploration. In an outdoor setting, this can include a variety of natural and manufactured items, such as rocks, wood (sticks, stumps, planks), fabric scraps, ropes, tires, and even things like cardboard boxes and crates. These items can be combined and manipulated in countless ways, fostering imaginative play and problem-solving skills.

If you have any of the following to donate, we appreciate your contributions. Please contact Lee in the Front Office and she will coordinate the drop off with our wonderful Grounds Person, Kevin!

  • Boxes: Large Cardboard boxes, wooden crates, or sturdy plastic containers.
  • Tyres: Different sizes of tyres for climbing, rolling, or building.
  • Tubes: PVC pipes, metal or plastic tubes, old milk crates etc and even old hoses.
  • Fabric: Sheets, blankets, or large pieces of fabric for creating forts, coverings, or imaginative costumes.
  • Rope and twine: For tying, climbing, or creating structures.
  • Construction materials: Boards, planks, and even pallets (with safety precautions).
  • Wheels: Tricycle wheels or other wheels for rolling and movement.

Please see some photos for inspiration with the ‘junk’ you may have that we can use!
