Hello everyone,
Spring has sprung and Term 3 is almost over.
School Swimming Program Our students stepped out of the school grounds to take part in our School Swimming Program at Pelican Park in Hastings. Across the program, students worked on stroke technique, personal water safety and survival skills. They demonstrated impressive growth, independence and confidence in the water.
Classroom PE Sessions To round out a sensational second half of the term, students put their game play to the test with high-energy soccer sessions. Years 3–6 competed in small-sided class soccer tournaments, applying strategic passing, spatial awareness and fair play under tournament conditions. Our Foundation and 1/2 classes learned and refined their essential foot-dribbling, shooting and ball control skills before putting them to the test in an absolute blast of a game: Number Soccer! This fast-paced game challenged students to combine their new touch and control with active decision-making, spatial awareness and teamwork.
Thank you to all of our students for their incredible effort, positive attitudes and sportsmanship throughout Term 3. Have a fantastic, active and restful school holiday break and I look forward to seeing everyone back for another action-packed final term of PE!
Kind regards,
Tom Porter
