What’s been happening in Prep?

In Prep, we’ve been diving into the exciting world of information reports! Our writers have been busy choosing animals they’re curious about including elephants, meerkats, slugs, cats and dogs! 

We’ve been learning that information reports are a special kind of writing that teaches the reader something new. Students have been focusing on:

• Writing a clear title to introduce their animal
• Including facts about their chosen animal
• Using full stops to finish their sentences
• Sounding out words carefully as they write
• Including heart words to help make our writing smooth and readable

It’s been wonderful to see the pride and enthusiasm in each student’s writing as they continue to grow as authors!
