We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin nation; past, present and those who will walk with us into the future. We acknowledge the rich and unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas, educational practices and the hopes of all First Nations Peoples. We do this in the spirit of reconciliation as we move to a place of justice and partnership - together we work, learn, play and care for one another and this land.
It was lovely last week to reflect upon the impact that Fathers and Special people in our community who care for and encourage our young people. Thank you to the Foundation Team who hosted a fabulous Pizza Afternoon for visitors, our students loved preparing for your visit and sharing some special treats.
A big thank you also to the P&F team for a successful Fathers and Carers Day Stall. It is always exciting for all of our students to carefully choose and purchase a gift for that someone special and we truly appreciate the time given by volunteers to ensure this event is a wonderful experience.
As we come towards the end of a very busy term it is a great time to reflect on the learning growth, wellbeing growth and personal development our students have made. As you attend parent/teacher interveiws after school this week and on the last day of this term, I hope you all get the chance to reflect and celebrate the achievements your child has made, along with looking at the next steps in their learning.
We are really proud of the effort each child has put into their learning, facing challenges in production, camp, athletics, etc and working towards their own learning goals. I am also very grateful for all the hard work by our teachers and education support staff in helping our students strive for their very best throughout the term.
It will continue to be a busy time over this last part of the term with our school disco (this Friday), 5/6 camp (next week) and Footy Maths Day (Thursday 18th September) coming up. Information about the Disco and Footy Maths Day are in this newsletter.
With our final day of term (Friday 19th September) being a student free day, I can confirm that the students' final day of term (Thursday 18th September) wll finish at the regular time (3:30pm).
