The Nossal High School hockey team put forth a gritty and impressive performance at the intermediate regionals on Monday 13 October. 

In the opener, Nossal battled Bentleigh Secondary College and came away with a decisive 2-0 victory, showing skillful teamwork and sharp attacking play. Facing Elizabeth Murdoch College in the second round, the team fought to a 1-1 draw, ultimately progressing to the final on goal difference and capping off a remarkable qualifying run. 

In the highly anticipated final match against Melbourne High School, the team played with heart and determination, conceding only once due to an unfortunate golden goal in overtime sealing a narrow defeat.

Nevertheless congratulations to all team members for their commitment, teamwork, and fighting spirit throughout the tournament. Special praise goes to Prince Achandira for his outstanding leadership on and off the field. 

From the energetic first pass to the final whistle, every player contributed to a day filled with proud moments, excitement, and lessons learned for next time. Well done, Nossal HS hockey; your effort and sportsmanship have made the school proud and stimulated to improve.
