Student Engagement at Corpus Christi 2026
Year 5 Leaders Building Connections with our Kingsville Early Learning students
Our Year 5 students are continuing to develop meaningful relationships with our Kinder students at Kingsville Early Learning as part of our Year 5 Leadership Program – Lead Well, Live Well.
Every couple of weeks, our Year 5 leaders spend time visiting the Kinder classrooms, where they engage in play, read and share storybooks, join in conversations and support the children in their learning and play. These visits provide a wonderful opportunity for our older students to connect with our youngest learners and build a strong sense of belonging across our school community.
The program is an important part of developing our Year 5 students as confident, caring and responsible leaders. Through their interactions with the Kinder students, they are developing valuable skills in communication, patience, empathy, problem-solving and collaboration. They are learning to listen to others, recognise the needs of younger students and lead by example.
Our Lead Well, Live Well program encourages our Year 5 students to understand that leadership is not simply about having a role or title; it is about how we treat others, the choices we make and the positive difference we can make in the lives of those around us.
It has been wonderful to see our Year 5 students embrace this opportunity and take pride in being positive role models for our Kinder children. We look forward to seeing these relationships continue to grow throughout the rest of the year!
Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations.
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are RESPONSIBLE (Play Time)
We are learning to sit and eat before playing, look after equipment and play in the correct areas.
Behaviour Warriors
Congratulations to Year 1/2C who were Behaviour Warriors this week for receiving the most tokens for displaying our positive behaviour traits:
Being Safe
Being Respectful
Being Kind
Being Responsible
Being Learners
