NAIDOC Week

Last term, Ben Venue students celebrated NAIDOC week by participating in a range of activities including art lessons, listening to and reading Dreaming stories, learning and playing Indigenous games, completing craft activities with buddies, and learning about the themes and posters of the past 50 years of NAIDOC.

Our celebrations culminated in our NAIDOC Week assembly where we had performances from our NAIDOC Dancers and music group, and our senior and Kindergarten choir. We were treated to a special presentation from ASC's renowned Lyambay Dancers and a moving address from Larissa Ahoy from Oorala, UNE. 

Thank you to all families who celebrated 50 Years of Deadly with us.
