If your teenager is glued to their phone you could encourage them to connect with some apps that aim to support their mental health. 

 

Help teens prepare for a good night's rest with Sleep Ninja

Sleep Ninja® is a free, evidence-based smartphone app shown to be effective in helping young people with sleep problems. Over 6-weeks, Sleep Ninja teaches skills based on cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which promote sleep quality and healthy sleep habits and reduce signs of depression. Sleep Ninja has been developed in collaboration, with young people, their parents/carers, psychologists, counsellors and sleep experts.

 

 

ClearlyMe is an app designed for teens aged 12-17 who are experiencing depressive symptoms, psychological distress or in other words, going through a tough time. ClearlyMe has been created by teens and for teens, is backed by science and free. 

 

ClearlyMe can help you to:

  • Think and feel better when you’re going through a tough time
  • Be the best version of yourself and get the most out of school and life
  • Get to know yourself through your thoughts, feelings and actions
  • Feel less along and know help is available, if you need it
