Year 10 Food Technology – A Delicious Start to the Year

These budding chefs have made an excellent start to the year, diving into the exciting world of café cookery. This term, students have been learning how to develop and prepare recipes suitable for a café setting, while exploring the key dishes, ingredients, techniques and presentation styles commonly found in contemporary cafés.

In preparation for their Week 9 practical MasterChef assessment, students have been busy refining their skills. They have produced an impressive range of café-style dishes including  omelettes, French toast with blueberry sauce, fluffy banana pancakes and Moroccan lamb sliders  – just to name a few.

It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they develop their practical skills, creativity and understanding of flavour combinations. We look forward to seeing their talents showcased in the upcoming MasterChef assessment.
