What a Year in the School Library! 📚
What an incredible year it’s been in our school library! The library has been a place of learning, imagination and discovery all year long.
Our library was like a busy highway, with classes coming and going for lessons, reading time and, of course, finding their next favourite book.
The year in numbers:
- 320 Class Visits: That's how many times teachers brought classes in for lessons, research, or just to find a great new book!
- 1,281 Brand New Books! We added twelve hundred fresh new items to our shelves.
- 2,293 books borrowed by students in the house of Gannon.
- 2097 books borrowed by students in the house of Toepfer.
- 1997 books borrowed by students in the house Conolly.
6,387 books borrowed by students in total!
It has been wonderful to see so many students excited about reading and making the most of our library space.
Don’t Stop Reading – Summer Holiday Tip! ☀️📖
Even though the school library will be taking a short break, your reading adventures don’t have to stop. The Libraries Tasmania branch in Rosny is open throughout the summer holidays, with free membership available. Many of the Southern Tasmania Libraries Tasmania are offering Summer Holiday Programs, contact your local branch for more information.
Have a fantastic summer break, enjoy some well-earned rest, and don’t forget to keep turning those pages. I can’t wait to welcome you all back to the library next year!
