Principal's Report
Debbie Oliver
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Term 3! As you are aware, I was on Long Service Leave for the last few weeks of Term 2, so returning from the American summer to the Victorian winter has been quite an adjustment. I want to thank Derek Rimes and the leadership team for holding the fort while I was away.
During my time away, I managed to attend the Hyrox World Championships in Chicago, where my niece, Maddie Biggs (brag), and her partner competed. We then toured through Nashville, Memphis, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. We visited all the typical tourist destinations, but a highlight for me was attending the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, taking a helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon, visiting the American National Museum of Civil Rights in Memphis, and finally, the Harry Potter ride at Universal Studios.
On returning, it was my pleasure to attend the Premier's VCE awards, where Finbar O'Sullivan, was recognised for his achievement in General Mathematics in 2024. Finbar was our 2024 School Dux and is currently working as a Maths tutor during his gap year here at the school.
This term will be busy with transitions and information nights as we prepare for 2026; we encourage families to take the opportunity to attend these events.
Warm regards,
Debbie Oliver
