Spring Chicken

Spring Chicken – What a Show!
Wow! Just wow!
How lucky are our students to have been part of such a wonderful school musical? What began with auditions and call-backs quickly became weeks of rehearsals, hard work, laughter and plenty of chicken puns!
There was certainly no shortage of preparation. Since the end of term two, students squeezed in daily line-reading during breaks, took part in end-of-day whole-school singing sessions, worked through scene blocking on stage, sourced and fitted costumes, and tackled sound and lighting technical runs. Then came the dress rehearsal, the Wednesday matinee and, finally, our grand finale on Thursday night. And what a magical evening it was!
Everything came together beautifully, and the atmosphere in the hall was electric. Staff's hearts were warmed as we watched the excitement build in the children over the past few weeks. We saw their confidence grow, their performance skills develop, and their determination to do their very best shine through.
Most importantly, we saw children having fun. They performed with enthusiasm, supported one another and worked together like the poised little professionals they have become. Watching them take to the stage with such confidence and joy was a very proud moment for all of us.
A huge thank you goes to our wonderful staff, families and community members who helped bring Spring Chicken to life. From costumes and props to rehearsals, backstage organisation, sound and lighting, there were so many people working behind the scenes to make the magic happen.
But the biggest cluck of appreciation belongs to our students. They embraced every challenge, gave it their all and reminded us just how much can be achieved when a school works together.
We couldn’t be prouder of our little flock! 🐔
