Well done to everyone who participated in the OZ Rocks Times Tables Rockstars competition from 1st to 3rd September. Our school placed 70th out of 694 primary schools! 3 students placed in the top 50 out of 48,458 students- an awesome effort. Manraj Sandhu placed 20th, Ishaan Divakaran placed 44th, and John Baquiran placed 49th!
Congratulations to all the students who participated
Special thanks to all the classes and students who competed in the competition, and well done to all the winners. Thanks to Mrs Harvey and the teachers for organising this for our students.
On the school holidays, we are sure there were lots of students who did many interesting activities while on their break. We had the chance to go and talk to some students to see what they did on their holidays.

During the holidays, I went to Japan, so we booked a hotel near the airport, where my family and I slept straight away because it was late. The next day we went to Universal Studios, where we had a lot of fun. For lunch, we had a delicious burger and drinks. Two days later, we went to an arcade where we played giant tennis and human soccer. Overall, it was fun. One of my favourite foods was salmon and salmon sushi, which was really delicious. Another thing I really liked was going to 7/11, where I had pancakes and a breakfast burger. We also went to see some really cool shrines. We took a lot of pictures to make this a memorable day. Another cool thing was at Shibuya Crossing, which had a cool 3D cat on the big screen. Overall, this was a memorable experience for me and my family. We really enjoyed the food and culture of Japan.

On the school holidays, my aunty, grandma and cousins came to visit my family and me. We went to the hot springs and soaked up the hot water in the pool. After that, we went and walked to the top of a hill to look at the beautiful scenery down below. We did many other activities such as a cold plunge, foot massages, and we also went to a sauna. For Lunch, we went to a restaurant, and I had a meal. Then we went home and rested for a while before going to an animal farm. We saw many different animals such as kangaroos, camels, bunnies, and peacocks. Finally, we went home. It was a great school holiday.

During the school holidays, my family and I went camping to the Flinders Ranges in a caravan. As we were staying there, we went on a hike to the top of the ranges. After that, we walked back down and got in our car to drive to our next caravan spot. As we arrived at our next spot, we did many hikes to the Wilpena Pound, which is a circle of mountains. On our way back home, we stopped at a few towns to look at their amazing paintings. While we were looking at the paintings, we saw some Sturt Desert peas and water silo art. When we got home, I started packing my things to move to my new house. It was a really good school holiday.

During the school holidays, I celebrated my First Holy Communion. After the ceremony, I handed out chocolates to celebrate with everyone. A couple of days later, my family and I went out together and had lots of fun! On the second-to-last day of the holidays, we had a big communion celebration for all the students who received the sacrament. We enjoyed a barbecue, played raffles, and I even won a watch! After that, I had my own communion party with about 85 people. It was so much fun celebrating with my friends and family. I felt very special with everyone coming together to celebrate the sacrament for me and my brother, Lucas. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
