Term 4, Week 1

Welcome back to all our students, families and staff as we begin a positive and rewarding
Term 4 together. I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and refreshing break and enjoyed the time with family and friends. As a Catholic school community, we look forward to continuing to nurture faith, learning, wellbeing and a sense of belonging. Term 4 is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate students’ growth and achievements while making the most of every moment together. Many excursions and events are happening this term, so please take the time to read the school calendar so you are up to date with future events.
We are pleased to let families know that during Term 4, there will be over the counter sales available at the school canteen during break times.
Students will have the opportunity to purchase icy poles and a selection of snacks. These items will also continue to be available for families to order online through the canteen ordering system or cash sales. If ordering online, your child will receive a token that they will present at the canteen. If your child is going to use cash, please refrain from providing your child with large amounts of money. A recommendation is to check the price list online.
I am pleased to announce that our whole school Friday assemblies at 3.00 pm will return to the Back Oval this term. With the arrival of some warmer weather, it will be wonderful to come together once again as a school community. Our assemblies provide an opportunity to share information and strengthen our sense of belonging as a school community. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

A Fun-Filled Journey Through the Four Seasons
Our Year 4, 5 and 6 students recently enjoyed an engaging and interactive Japanese incursion with Aiko from Wasabi Kids.
The students from Years 4, 5 and 6 were treated to a wonderful “Four Seasons” show, exploring Japanese culture, language and traditions through an entertaining experience with both movement and laughter.
The students were well prepared for the incursion, having learned some Japanese vocabulary beforehand. It was fantastic to see them confidently use their new language skills and enthusiastically participate throughout the performance. The highlight was definitely the puppet show with Taro; what a great sense of humour he had.
The incursion provided a wonderful opportunity for students to extend their understanding of Japanese culture while developing their language skills in an engaging and fun way.
A special thank you to Mr Lazarus for organising this experience and for continuing to provide learning opportunities that keep our students engaged and excited about Japanese culture and language.

What better way to finish Term 3 than with a fantastic Footy Day! Our final day of term was filled with team spirit, excitement, plenty of cheering and, of course, a whole lot of footy fun!
The day kicked off in style with an incredible opening performance from Mr Dylan, who had everyone singing along with an energetic mix of AFL theme songs. It was the perfect way to get the crowd fired up and ready for fun during the morning parade.
A special mention goes to Mr Pietryk, whose MC skills kept the morning moving and the energy high. His enthusiasm and humour helped create a wonderful atmosphere for students and staff alike.
It was fantastic to see everyone getting into the spirit of the morning, proudly wearing their team colours, cheering each other on and enjoying some well-deserved fun together. Thanks to all the parents who attended and joined in on the fun.
What a great Grand Final it was to watch. The Brisbane Lions topped off a sensational season by defeating Fremantle to claim the 2026 AFL Premiership flag. Congratulations to all the supporters out there.
