Bishop's Installation  

On Wednesday, I represented our school at the Cathedral for the Installation of Bishop Rene Ramirez RCJ. It was a wonderful atmosphere as we welcome our new Bishop into Sandhurst. 

Feast of Mary MacKillop  

This Saturday, Australian Catholics celebrate the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s first saint. Mary MacKillop’s enduring message was to “never see a need without doing something about it.” Her life was grounded in faith, courage and a commitment to serving others, particularly those most in need.

As a school community, this message continues to challenge us to look beyond ourselves and consider how we can make a positive difference through small acts of kindness, service and compassion. As we mark her feast day, we are reminded that we do not need to do extraordinary things to make a difference, sometimes it simply begins by noticing a need and choosing to act.

Feast of the Assumption

Next week, our school community will come together to recognise the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, an important day in the Catholic Church. The Assumption reminds us of Mary’s deep faith, trust in God and commitment to living a life of service. Her example encourages us to reflect on how we too can live with faith, kindness and purpose in our everyday lives.

To mark this special occasion, we will host a School Assembly + Liturgy from 2:45pm, bringing students and staff together in prayer and reflection. Following the liturgy, we will also celebrate the achievements of our students and recognise the many ways they continue to grow, contribute and demonstrate our school values. It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate both our Catholic identity and the efforts and successes of our students.
