Help your learner get on the road with a free driving lesson!

The myLearners Free Driving Lesson program offers a FREE 60-minute Lesson with a professional driving instructor for learners aged 16–21 who have completed 10–50 hours of driving practice. The lesson is taken alongside their supervising driver, helping both the learner and supervisor build safer, more confident driving habits together.

This program supports families by making the learning experience more positive and less stressful. It aims to reduce crash risks for young drivers, strengthen supervising skills, and encourage safer driving behaviours early on all at no cost to participants.

There are now more ways to tap and go on public transport in Victoria. More payment options. More easy-going. If you’re travelling on a full fare, you can now use contactless payments on trains, trams and buses in the myki area.

How to use tap and go:

  • Full fare customers only (concession card travellers should continue using myki)

  • Mastercard or Visa

  • Tap on with your credit or debit card, phone or smart watch, and be sure to tap off the same way

  • Make sure you have enough money for your journey before you tap

  • Take your card out of your wallet before you tap

  • View your contactless travel history here

Fares

Tap and go fares are the same as myki fares. Depending on your card provider and bank, it may take up to three days for payment to appear in your bank account. You may see a pending amount before your daily fare is calculated and confirmed. Public transport in Victoria is half price until 1 January 2027. This includes concession holders. To access half price fares simply tap on as usual. For more information visit transport.vic.gov.au/halfpricetravel

Authorised Officers

Authorised Officers are there to support customers as we roll out tap and go across the network. Don't worry if you make a mistake, we're here to help. When checking contactless payments, they won’t see your banking details or any personal information.

Need help?

Check out our contactless FAQs, speak to any station staff or get in touch with the Transport Victoria Contact Centre on 1800 800 007 for information or assistance. You can also provide feedback via the online feedback form.

As the school year continues, many  students are using devices such as laptops, tablets, phones, e-bikes and e-scooters. Most of these devices contain lithium-ion batteries, which have become part of everyday life, but need to be used safely.

Fire services are responding to an increasing number of fires caused by lithium-ion batteries, often caused by incorrect charging or leaving devices unattended. That’s why fire safety at home is especially important during the school year.

You can help reduce the risk by:

  • Only using the charger and battery designed for each device

  • Unplugging devices once fully charged

  • Never charging devices on soft surfaces like beds or couches

  • Not charging devices overnight, or when no one is home

  • Charging larger devices such as e-bikes and e-scooters away from living spaces and keeping them clear of exits

  • Regularly checking devices and stopping use if a battery looks damaged, swollen or overheats

You can watch Fire Rescue Victoria’s safety video here.

It’s also important to make sure smoke alarms are working and tested every month. Fire Rescue Victoria recommends installing smoke alarms in bedrooms, living rooms and near areas where devices are charged—because working smoke alarms save lives.

For more tips on lithium-ion battery safety, visit: https://www.frv.vic.gov.au/battery-safety

A few simple habits can help protect your home and your loved ones.

Updated Bus Timetable

Please check the updated timetable on Ventura's website via link below before travelling.

Highvale Secondary College – Ventura transit

We recommend that students arrive at their bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time to avoid rushing and potentially missing the bus.
