Grade 4

Welcome back to Term 4! We hope all families enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing break. We are excited to begin another term of learning, growth and fun in Year 4.
At the end of Term 3, students proudly completed their Geography investigations, demonstrating their understanding of sustainability, recycling and the importance of caring for our environment. Students worked creatively to design informative posters and used recycled materials to build interesting and innovative items. Some students also created engaging slide presentations to share their learning about reusing resources, reducing waste, and understanding that many of Earth's resources are limited. It was wonderful to see the creativity, effort and knowledge students displayed throughout these projects.
We finished the term on a high note with a fun Free Dress Day, which provided everyone with an enjoyable opportunity to celebrate their hard work and the conclusion of a busy term.
This term in Literacy, we will be reading the novel His Name is Walter. Students will explore the characters, setting and themes of the text while developing their comprehension skills. They will also be building their narrative writing skills by planning, drafting and publishing engaging stories of their own.
In Mathematics, we will begin the term by exploring probability and learning how to describe and predict the likelihood of events occurring. Later in the term, students will focus on multiplication and division, developing strategies to solve problems efficiently and apply their understanding in real-world contexts.
We look forward to another fantastic term of learning and celebrating our students' achievements!
