During Catholic Schools Week 2026 we gathered with other schools from across the region at Saint Nicholas Church on Tuesday to celebrate the gift of Catholic education.
Coming together as a community of faith we united in prayer to reflect on the 2026 theme: 'Our Hope-Filled Future' and to remind us of the strength of the Armidale Diocese 24-school system is at the heart of our mission. As we pray together this week, we reflect on our 2026 theme: ‘Our Hope-Filled Future.’ Seeing our students and staff from across the deanery united in prayer reminds us of the strength of our Catholic school system.
A huge thank you to the clergy and staff who made the liturgy so meaningful.

Sacraments
This Sunday we will see seven of our students receive Holy Communion for the first time. We ask you to keep these children in your prayers as they reach this wonderful and special milestone in their faith. It has been such a privilege to help them prepare for their special day. Everyone is most welcome to come along at 10am this Sunday in support of these young people.
We had a wonderful Mass today, our Stage 2 students took full responsibility for the service, and they did an amazing job. It was a pleasure to see the kids leading their peers with such confidence and heart.

Confirmation, Sunday 26 July at 10am
Bishop Peter Murphy will meet with the candidates on Friday 24 July at St John's before the Sacrament on the Sunday.

Congratulations to the team for the way you organised and ran the State of Origin day. Funds will be put towards our annual fundraising for Catholic Mission.
We have been inspired by our leader Angel-Lee and her mini missions she has set herself to make our school a better place. This fortnight the members of the whole team have been set a secret mission within the school to make a difference in one small way through an act of kindness. I look forward to hearing the reports and seeing our principles and values in action!
If you have any questions regarding masses, Religion, or general queries please be in contact with me; no question is too small or too hard and I am only a phone call or email away! I am only too happy to try and be of help.
God bless,
Deb McDouall
