The St Virgil's College Sport Football (Soccer) program offers players excellent playing opportunities to enhance their football experience and reinforce school spirit and the holistic education provided to all students.
Much is said about Tasmanian teams punching above their weight when competing on the national stage. Team sVc does not buy into that at all. This week, as our 7/8 and 9/10 teams battled it out against the best EREA teams from around the country in Brisbane, Team sVc proved time and time again that they truly belong and ranked among the BEST! Coming up against multi-million dollar football programs and academies supported by EPL clubs, Team sVc went toe to toe with the big boys.
Congratulations to our boys who had a remarkable week. The Juniors (7/8) lost in a heartbreaking penalty shoot-out in the semi-final to finish 4th in the nation.
The Seniors (9/10) went all the way to the Grand Final and bossed the game, but couldn't convert their multiple chances. Ultimately finishing runners-up, losing 1-2.
The week wasn't just about the football. From DFO shopping, Ten Pin Bowling and Westfield Chermside to Top Golf, Southbank and Aqua Warrior Park, Team sVc had a blast.
