Exploring Australia’s Early History
This term, Year 4 students have been diving into Australia's history, learning about the First Fleet and its significance. We have explored how the Industrial Revolution in Britain led to the transportation of convicts to Australia and the difficult lives these convicts faced upon arrival.
We have studied the journey of the First Fleet, the hardships endured during the voyage, and the difficulties of convict life in the early days of the new colony. We have also been learning about the impact of European settlement on Indigenous Australians.
As part of our learning, we are also gathering information to create detailed information reports on these important historical events. It's been a fascinating journey through Australia’s past!
