SUBJECT SELECTIONS FOR 2027 YEAR 9 AND YEAR 10

Subject selections for Year 9 and Year 10 in 2027 will be taking place this term between Weeks 8 and 10. Students will begin exploring the process and subject offerings during their care classes over the coming weeks. 

A Subject Selection Guide will be provided to all families, outlining the available subjects, key information, and the steps for submitting preferences. 

To support student decision-making, subject information will also be available in a student-friendly digital format through the student portal. 

We encourage families to engage in conversations at home and reach out to the school with any questions about the selection process. 

The best advice is choosing subjects you are good at and enjoy. Grade 9 is a great year to trial different subjects before locking in for year 10.  

 ASSESSMENT CALENDARS 

Parents are reminded that the assessment calendar for Semester Two is now published on the PBC website. 

Students and parents should all make careful note of these important dates. 

STUDENT VOICE SURVEY 

Alongside the annual departmental survey for students, staff and parents we have been canvassing the voice of our students in our own PBC student voice survey. Developed by student’s the survey checks in on important elements of school – belonging, learning and supports as well as providing a chance for students to provide suggestions on possible improvements across a range of school areas such as facilities, uniform, canteen.

Students in Year 7, 9, 10 and 11 will have received an email link. Years 8 and 11 will have an email from the department.
