Marlin Coast Netball Carnival
On Thursday 30 July, seven teams competed in the Fowlers’ Cup Marlin Coast Netball Competition.
With four girls' teams and three boys' teams competing across several divisions, it was a busy and exciting day for all of our teams. When our players weren’t on the court competing, they were on the sidelines cheering on their peers. It was a day filled with fierce competition, lots of laughter and, perhaps, a few tired legs by the end of the day.
We also had some amazing umpires support the carnival. Thank you to Tora N, Tobi G and Maddy L, who umpired throughout the day, as well as all the students who stepped in to help when needed. We couldn’t have done it without you.
A huge congratulations to our Year 8/9 girls' team who went through the day undefeated to finish as winners of their division!
Congratulations also to our Year 10–12 girls' team, Year 10-12 boys' team and Year 7/8 boys' team, who all finished as runners-up in their respective divisions.
These carnival days don’t just happen, and I would like to extend a huge thank you to Mrs Tindall for her organisation and coaching in the lead-up to and throughout the carnival. Thank you also to our wonderful coaches, Mrs Mizzi, Mrs Garner, Miss Field & Mrs Jonsen, who ensured all of our teams were able to take the court.
Finally, thank you to our wonderful parent and supporter cohort who continue to turn up ready to cheer on our teams and assist wherever needed. Your support does not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate the many hours you contribute to our program.
JSS Sport
Our JSS teams will play their first round of competition this coming Wednesday during Periods 5 and 6 against St Monica’s & St Augustine’s.
