Melbourne Zoo Psychology and Ethics Excursion
A real-world look at animal psychology and ethics for some of our Year 10 students
Year 10 students embarked on experiencing a 'taster' of the VCE Psychology program (Units 1-4 Key Science Skills) which uses the zoo as a real-world context to explore human behaviour, ethical decision-making and scientific investigation. Through observation, discussion and fieldwork, students examine how psychological concepts influence behaviour in a conservation organisation and apply key science skills to contemporary ethical issues.
Students also had the opportunity to enter a best animal photo competition on the day and send it to their teacher - some which are featured here by the students. It was a great day out at the Zoo!
