Year 11's Visit the
Supreme Court
Recently our Year 11 Legal Studies students visited the Supreme Court. You can enjoy some student reflections below.

Year 12 Coordinator & Secondary Teacher
One experience we had was witnessing a court case. It was worthwhile because we got to see how a supreme court case runs and how different people behave and talk in the court. It was really fascinating and slightly intimidating.
Aelwyn
One experience we had was being able to go into the Supreme Court library, and it was so incredible to see all the books full of laws, some dating back to the 1300's. It was cool to meet a judge and his associates, and to talk to them about their stories and why they decided to study law.
Poppy
One experience we had was going into the Supreme Court law library and seeing the original book that the judge who sentenced Ned Kelly to the death penalty used to write his notes on that case. It was worthwhile because we got to hear stories about the origins of different books and paintings that are held within the library.
Grace
One experience we had was seeing an alleged killer. It was worthwhile because it was eye opening to see that it isn't just on TV, and that it happens in the real world.
Judah
One experience we had was getting to see a murder case. It was worthwhile because it was interesting to watch.
Matilda
One experience we had was being allowed to access the library and also meeting/talking to a judge. It was worthwhile because we learnt new things and took the opportunity to do interesting things.
Ava and Racy
One experience we had was Allan's dad jokes. (He was the person who showed us around the court). It was worthwhile because they were funny.
