Year 7–9 Students Take Charge of Their Fitness

Over the past few weeks, our Year 7–9 students have been putting their learning into action by developing personalised fitness plans based on the results of their recent fitness testing. Using their own data, students identified areas they wanted to improve and have created targeted programs that include a mix of activities to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and agility.

These plans will be implemented both in class and over the coming weeks, allowing students to track their progress and reflect on how the different exercises make them feel. The goal is to help students better understand how structured physical activity can enhance their overall health, wellbeing, and performance in sport.

This week, our Year 9 students had the opportunity to spend part of their PE session in the school gym, where they explored a range of exercises to support their goals. From resistance and circuit training to flexibility work, students experimented with different techniques to build confidence in using gym equipment safely and effectively.

LMR Hockey

We’d also like to take a moment to congratulate our students who have made it through to State Hockey after their great wins at the LMR hockey last Wednesday—a fantastic achievement and a reflection of their amazing abilities. The entire school community is proud of your efforts and wishes you all the best as you represent Charlton College at the next level.

Reminder: No School Monday or Tuesday!

A friendly reminder to all students and families that next Monday is a pupil-free day and Tuesday is a public holiday. Please make sure you don’t turn up to school on either day — enjoy the extra-long weekend, rest up, and we’ll see everyone back on Wednesday, refreshed and ready to go!
