Grandparents Day

What a wonderful celebration of love, connection and community our Grandparents Day was! It was a joy to welcome our grandparents and families to spend quality time together, sharing stories, food and plenty of laughter.

Our picnic lunch was a highlight, with families enjoying the opportunity to relax together and share a meal. A big thank you to our canteen team for providing a delicious range of food options for everyone to enjoy.

Throughout the morning, families and grandparents took the opportunity to capture special memories through photographs and participate in a range of engaging activities, including finger knitting and traditional wooden games. These moments provided a beautiful opportunity for different generations to connect, learn from one another and create lasting memories.

The celebrations continued with a special assembly hosted by our Platinum and Bronze students. Our school community was treated to wonderful performances from our dance groups, heartfelt public speaking presentations about the important role grandparents play in our lives, and a delightful song from our Kindergarten students. One of the most moving moments was the sign language song and photo montage, which beautifully captured the love, gratitude and special connections we share with our grandparents and families.

Thank you to all the grandparents and family members who joined us, and to our dedicated staff and students who helped make the day so memorable. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family, belonging and the special relationships that enrich our school community.

Thank you to Mrs Zreik and Mrs Pozoglou for hosting the assembly with the students from Platinum and Bronze and also to Mrs Wilson and Mrs Schafer for organising the event.

Grandparents Day was truly a celebration to remember, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it such a wonderful success!
