Regional Athletics - Wednesday 9th October
Going to the regionals was a fun experience to even step up into the next level of athletics. It was a good experience to run against other people and see other schools competing their best ability. Even though most of us didn't make it, it was a good experience to help build our self confidence and also improve for next year.

They were victorious in both of their matches earning them a place in the Division Finals which took place on Wednesday 30th October. The team finished 2nd after the Finals with the final result based on run rate.
Everybody had a lot of fun. We won both of our matches, and everybody had a fair turn. Viraj and Avaniish were captains and Avaniish was by far our best player. Harprabh and Ahmed both bowled and batted well, though everybody played well with good sportsmanship.

Boys Cricket Division Final- Wednesday 30th October
When we all arrived, we had the toss against Werribee and they won and chose to bat. Avaniish and Viraj (captain) opened the bowling, and they did a spectacular job. The team kept great positive energy throughout the match, and restricted Werribee to 52. In the chase, Avaniish opened with Viraj, before Viraj got out. Later, Harprabh got out on duck, and Ahmed went in. He played a mature innings, supporting Avaniish, who was smashing the ball everywhere. Later, Ahmed got out, and then Arshveer came in to bat. However, due to a controversial decision from the umpire, he was out on a golden duck. This did not matter too much, as a couple of balls later, Avaniish hit a four to win us the match, finishing on 38 runs. Brinbeal was able to chase it down in 8 overs. In the second match, we were facing Good News, who won the toss and chose to bowl. Avaniish and Viraj went to open again, but a couple of balls later, Viraj got bowled on a golden duck. Harprabh came in and played a great innings, before getting bowled. Maahir came in and rotated the strike well, before eventually getting out. Ahmed came in and again supported Avaniish well, before Avaniish retired after scoring 40. Gurkirat came in and scored 2 off the last ball. Brinbeal finished with a solid 66 runs. Avaniish and Viraj started off well again, with Avaniish getting a wicket in his second over, before Harprabh came in and conceded 9 runs in one over. After that, the bowling was kept quite tight. Later, off Ahmed's bowling Avaniish made a spectacular throw to get a run-out, the second and last wicket of the innings. Good News needed 20 from 2 overs, before Maahir bowled and got hit for 9 runs. They now needed 11 from 1 over. After a long talk between Brinbeal, Viraj decided to bowl himself instead of Ahmed a decision that some of his teammates did not agree with. However, it came down to the wire, with Good News needing 3 from the last ball. Then, there was a wild moment, as the Good News batsman hit it down the ground. Prabhnoor fielded it, and threw it to Avaniish, who threw it back to Viraj. But the main action was on the pitch, where the whole Good News team ran onto the field towards the pitch, before their batsmen completed 3 runs. The umpire discussed this with both team's coaches for a long time.In the end, due to the disruption, the ball was re-bowled, much to the discontent of Good News. On the re-bowl, the ball was hit towards Prabhnoor again, who threw it to Avaniish, who threw it to Viraj. The Good News batsmen could only get two runs, meaning that both teams tied. The Brinbeal players walked off the field, knowing they were undefeated. They were cheering hard for Werribee, and even giving them tips to beat Good News, while waiting for the result of the game, as this match would decide their fate. But we all know Brinbeal is the best anyway.
