Enrolment Applications Open Now

Have a child starting Foundation in 2025 and not sure what to do?

As we transition to the new online enrolment process, here is a quick run down on what you need to do ...

1. Request an enrolment pack from the school office (which includes a quick reference guide for the new process).
2. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 26 July 2024 (using the ‘Apply to our Karoo Primary’ link below). 
3. Book in for Story Time and Foundation Discovery sessions (see below).
4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 29 July and Friday 9 August 2024.
5.  If you receive an enrolment offer from our school, an email will be sent with a link to the portal. Please accept the offer by Friday 23 August 2024.
6. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2024.
7. Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Wednesday 29 January 2025.

Enrolment applications submitted after 26 July 2024 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Story time @ Karoo

Friday 3rd or Thursday 9th May (in the library)

• Friday 3rd May at 9:30am   OR
• Thursday 9th May at 3:00pm 

Sessions run for 30mins and are open to all pre-school children.    A member of leadership will read a story to the children and then engage in an activity related to the story.

Foundation Discovery Afternoon 

• Wednesday 15th May 5pm-6pm

You and your child are invited to our upcoming Foundation Discovery Night, where your family is able to be emersed in experiencing a taste of Foundation at Karoo, enjoying a range of engaging supervised activities in the Foundation rooms with our teachers and Specialist teachers.

Transition @ Karoo

We are holding the following transition sessions for students enrolled in Foundation at Karoo in 2025, where they will 'discover and learn' in the Foundation environment and are introduced to school life.

Session 1:  Wednesday 30th October 2024

Session 2:  Wednesday 13th November 2024

Session 3:  Tuesday 26th November 2024

Session 4:  Tuesday 10th December 2024 (Statewide Foundation Orientation Day)
