Work Experience

Year 10 Work Experience Success
During the last week of Term 2, our Year 10 students attended their second work experience placement and once again represented Heatherwood School with pride.
Students participated in a range of hands-on workplace activities, learning valuable new skills while gaining a greater understanding of workplace safety and expectations. The experience provided opportunities to develop teamwork, communication, problem-solving and independence in real workplace settings.
Many students enjoyed managing their earnings, making purchases at workplace cafés, and practising everyday skills that support future employment and community participation. These experiences help students build confidence while developing important life and work readiness skills.
We are incredibly proud of the positive attitude, resilience and enthusiasm shown by our students throughout the week. Thank you to our workplace partners for providing such meaningful opportunities and supporting our students as they continue to prepare for their futures.
