It has been a fantastic start to the second half of the school year. Students have returned refreshed and ready to learn, and it has been wonderful to see classrooms quickly settle into productive routines. Our external programs such as; Seniors Industry Day, Year 9 Future Ready, Outdoor Education and Interschool Sport are also back up and running, providing students with valuable opportunities to extend their learning beyond the classroom.

There is plenty to look forward to over the coming weeks. Our Year 9 students are preparing for their camp at Charnwood in Week 5, an experience that will challenge them, strengthen friendships and build resilience. We are also pleased that the ski camp, which was unfortunately postponed at the end of last term due to limited snowfall, has now been rescheduled for Week 9 of this term. We are hoping for better snow conditions so students can enjoy the experience to its fullest.

Our Specialist Building Hub continues to make excellent progress. Over the holiday break, the electrical kiosk was installed at the front of the school, and the building is nearing lock-up stage, with all external doors and windows in place. Builders are currently focusing on internal painting and flooring before cabinetry and appliances are installed.

Landscaping works have also commenced around the new build, bringing the surrounding environment to life. We are excited to welcome back our Indigenous artist for a second workshop with our art students. This collaborative project will continue to explore Indigenous design and culture, with students contributing to artwork that will become a feature of the new building and celebrate our school's commitment to inclusion, creativity and connection to Country.

While there is still work to be completed, it is exciting to see the Specialist Building Hub taking shape. We look forward to sharing further updates with our community as we move closer to completion.
