PRAYER

The Greatest Commandment

In next Sunday’s Gospel we hear Jesus being asked the question, ‘Which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’.  His answer as we know began with the reminder that firstly we must love God with all our heart and then we can love our neighbours as ourselves.  Below is a simple prayer that families could say each morning before they begin their day.

Lord, I believe in you with a faith that never seeks to test you

May my love for you and those around me

Be similar to the love you have shown to me

Help me to love you in all that I do today

Keep me close to you

Guide and protect my family and me
