Lifelong learners at St John's

Each newsletter we showcase the different ways we learn and teach at St John’s. This week we are putting the spotlight on some of the recent learning experiences  and excursions .

YEAR 5 CREATE MODEL ROBOTS

In Year 5 the students have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. They looked at the various properties of different shapes, sketched out a 2D robot and then created a 3D model robot based on their design.

PREP FARM EXCURSION

Last Friday our Preps spent the day at the Animal Land Farm.  This gave the students an opportunity to fully experience farm life, from patting the animals, to feeding them and even milking a cow.  Many thanks to all the parents who accompanied us on this excursion.  Your support in supervising the students made this day possible.  As you can see from the pictures below the students had a great day.  For more pictures from the excursion check out @stjatarneit on instagram.
