3/4B's Time Together

What a year it has been for 3/4B! We have shared so much fun and learning together, and it has been a joy to watch every student grow in confidence, curiosity and kindness. Here is a snapshot of what we have been up to this term so far!

Bike Education

Students have been learning how to stay safe on the road and path, including wearing a correctly fitted helmet, checking their bikes before riding, and following road rules. They have shown great focus and enthusiasm as they build their riding skills and confidence.

Religion: Learning About Passover

In Religion, we have been learning about Passover, the Jewish celebration remembering God leading the Israelites out of slavery to freedom. We also linked this to the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his friends.

Literacy and Science: States of Matter

Students have been investigating solids, liquids and gases through building scientific vocabulary and a range of sorting activities. We will continue to enjoy this unit as we begin hands-on experiments, observing changes like ice melting and water turning to steam.

Maths: Mass and Capacity

At the end of last term, students explored mass and capacity through hands-on measuring. They used balance scales and kitchen scales to compare the mass of everyday objects in grams and kilograms, and measured liquids using cups, jugs and litres and millilitres. They loved estimating first and then checking their answers.
