Church SPaR (Stop, Pray and Reflect)

Celebrating Mary in the Month of May

Dear Parents/Carers of Kindergarten - Year 3 children                                                                                                                        

You are kindly invited to come to a SPaR in the Church to pray to Mary with your child.

Traditionally the month of May is dedicated to praying to Mary, Our Holy Mother. The Church has designated a special area in the foyer in which to pray to Mary. Parents/carers and children are encouraged to bring a flower or piece of greenery to place in front of her statue. 

The prayer session conducted by myself and the class teacher will take approximately 20 minutes. Check Compass/child’s school bag for an invitation.

All parents and carers will receive a special Mary Prayer Pack!

Year 6 Confirmation Commitment Family Mass - Pentecost

The Easter season will soon be over with the Coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost on Sunday 24th May. You are kindly invited to attend the next Family Mass which is the Confirmation Commitment Family Mass hosted by Year 6 and families to be held on Saturday 23rd May at 4pm. 

As many of the Year 6 students will be preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation this is a great opportunity for them to share their faith commitment with the parish school community. Please come along and join in this  beautiful celebration and support our Year 6 families. 

Friday Fatima Friends - Returns this Friday 15th May!

As it is still the season of Easter we will be having Easter craft this Friday (9.10am) Fatima Friends is on every Friday after School Assembly (but check the school calendar for updates) from 9.10am - 9.30am. Sometimes we are having so much fun we run over time! All pre-schoolers, babies and toddlers are welcome to come with parents and carers. 

Relay for Life 2026 - May 2- 3

It was beautiful weather for the Cancer Council’s Sutherland Shire Relay for Life this year at Don Lucas Reserve Wanda! Thank you to the families who supported this fantastic charity event. I was able to catch up with a few families although I was busy with walking, talking and dancing!

I invite families as we continue the month of May to live our school motto “To Love and  Serve Under Your Protection.”  May Mary bless you and keep you safe.
